I have just re-pierced my belly button ...?

I have just re-pierced my belly button at home. Not to worry everything was sterilized PROPERLY. I took my belly bar out on Monday after deciding after 4 months of getting it done i would let it close, however i changed my mind & decided i want to wear a bar again. So i basically had it out for a week. I could still feel like the lump where the bar was so i got a needle & tried to see if it would still pierce through - which it did fine. It did bleed a little but i washed it & took care of that. I waited about 20 minutes before trying to put a bar through. It took FOREVER to get the bar through, i guess because the bar itself was a lot thicker than the needle i used. I finally pushed the bar through, I noticed there was kind of like a 'pop' sound as it pierced through. Does this mean it had started to heal already? I have a bar in now & it is stinging quite a bit & is red. Do you think this will be OK?
