How do i convince my parents to give me a facebook account if i am 12 and under?

well my dad seems like he is trying to say maybe then my mom comes and says a no is a no that that .all my friends from school have one . it is th only way to Communicate with my friends. the last day all my friends ask me if i had facebook i had to say NO .which is embarrassing . can someone help me?
