Legal/divorce question?

when a court order is issued for one (ex)spouse to "deliver" spousal support (as the agreed settlement) and the court told them to communicate outside as a place to meet to exchange said check... does the person writing the check have to get in contact with the other a couple days before the day they meet up? and if the person doesn't confirm a day to meet, will they be held in contempt of court ie arrested and have accounts frozen?
