Just got ear pierced, could I change with another if I sterilize it and swap straight away before it can heal?

I Just got my ear pierced and want to change it to another one, but I know there's an issue about infection and sterilizing but I was wondering could I put a different piercing in if I sterilized the new one would It be ok ?
