How to communicate with an online friend after you met him offline once?

i met a online guy friend offline yesterday (it was like more of a date than a first meeting), and since then i feel there are not much topic i can talk to him about, though we tentatively plan to meet some time again next week. also, i am not sure how often to communicate with him also. could someone kind please help? thanks.
