As a home-schooled student, what can I do to up my chances of getting into a university?

Hey there...have you thought about getting a short term internship abroad in the field that you might want to study at university? For example, you list that you will already be doing 200 hours of volunteer work in your local community. Instead of also doing volunteer work in India with the Red Cross...why don't you think of doing an internship. That will check off your work experience criteria as well as making you stand out as an international candidate. I'm from New York and after I graduated, I personally did an internship in India last year doing writing for a travel magazine. Perhaps you can think of doing the same for about a month? You can check out some of the programs here...I think it would set you worlds apart from other college applicants but that's just my advice!
