Peircings?Ear.......?

Ok, So I had normal ears peirced properly in a shop, then last night I peirced it again on my left on my lobe with a sterilized pin and some ice XD and I heard if you do it in the wrong place you can paralyze half your body or your face. Is this true? I might get my friend to do the top on the right. My 2nd one on the left is fine just a bit red and tender , I use alcohol wipes everynow and then to keep it sterilized. Is the paralyize thing true and if so where is the nerve that if dmaged can paralyze your face/body??
