HOW DO YOU HANDLE THIS WITH A FREIND WHO'S LIKE THIS?

So, I finally picked up the phone when my friend called today. I've been avoiding her for a few months because she usually hangs out with me when there's no else available or just calls so I listen to her for an hour talking about her problems. For many years I've not been active in doing different activities and all, so we would just go out to eat and talk (me listening to her talk for hours). As I was talking on the phone, she was a bit disappointed that I didn't invite her to a few activities, but the thing is she has so many friends and she never invites me to hang out with them. I just been a homebody all these years and neva usually do much, but I wanna change my life now. She never introduced me to any of her boyfriends and never invited me over like the past 7yrs to any parties or such...but if I tell her I went somewhere she says why didn't I invite her?! I never invited to any events because I usually didn't attend any. We've known each other for about 15yrs and now that she's back to single she does want to hang out with me and her friends which is weird. When she had a bf 1/2 yr ago and for 2yrs it's like she didn't know me much. I'm confused how I can communicate to her that this is bothering me. Besides, she doesn't trust me to talk about her problems with bf...she like made it sound like there's no problems until 1/2 yr later she call me that she broke up with him. Is this what you call friends? I'm so confused. I made plans to hang out with her this week. We're both 23.
